And The Winner Is…
It’s easy to feel like the marketing world has become noise. And it’s easy to get lost in that noise, even if you’re a good marketer.
What keeps me grounded are the campaigns closest to my community. I’ve been heavily involved with my local marketing community over the last several years — hosting small business content roundtables, collaborating with other creatives in Lincoln, and representing nonprofits in their storytelling journey.
At the 2026 AMA Lincoln Prism Awards Ceremony, we celebrated the phenomenal marketing efforts, strategic campaigns, and creative talents driven by Nebraska-based professionals, agencies, and students throughout 2025, judged by chapter leaders across the country.
This year I was honored directly with the individual Marketer of the Year Award!
Stingray received additional recognition for two impactful nonprofit marketing campaigns, one for FOster Care Closet and one for Lincoln Literacy.
Fill Foster Kids’ Closets
A multi-channel campaign for Foster Care Closet
Categories: Consumer Marketing Campaign, Print
The Challenge: Following an unexpected 50% budget cut caused by the non-renewal of a 12-year state contract, Foster Care Closet faced a massive $364,000 funding gap.
Strategy & Tactics: Stingray Writing and collaborative partners deployed a multi-channel storytelling campaign centered around dignity and joy, contrasting the "garbage bag" reality of foster care with a boutique shopping experience. Tactics included top-of-funnel impact stories, a 10-part social media series, media pitches, and high-touch stewardship featuring a relatable $350 full-wardrobe price point.
Results: The campaign achieved an 111% funding goal surge, raising $313,000 and acquiring 131 new donors.

Muh Do’s Journey
A long-form video and subsequent social campaign for Lincoln Literacy
Categories: Paid Social Media, Social Media, Long-form Video
The Challenge: Lincoln Literacy needed to drive community support for their 2025 "Give to Lincoln Day" campaign while highlighting the hidden barriers faced by immigrant and refugee women balancing work, caregiving, and English acquisition.
Strategy & Tactics: Partnering with Andy Seiler at CueMotion, the campaign centered entirely on the personal, resilient story of Muh Do — a refugee who fled Burma and built a new life in Lincoln. Rather than using a narrator, Muh Do told her own story through a mini-documentary and high-impact social media Reels supported by a targeted Meta boost and Lincoln Community Foundation matching funds.
Results: The campaign became one of Lincoln Literacy's top-performing digital assets of all time, driving an 8% increase in Give to Lincoln Day donations (exceeding the 5% goal). The Facebook Reel garnered over 15,000 views (with 82% coming from non-followers) and achieved a 290% increase in engagement, successfully expanding the organization's reach to entirely new local demographics.
I am so incredibly proud of my community. These campaigns take a team of creatives, and I’m honored to work with them.
